Hello, I am Kendra, a Middle School Special Education Teacher in Nevada
Hello Kendra!
I just posted my first message! My name is Maria Angala, WTU AFT Local6 member and bilingual special education teacher in Washington DC. I am currently the Lead Teacher at RTEC's Digital Literacy Academy. I would love to engage in discussions at how other teachers in other school districts are using AI in their classroom. How is it helping? What's your school's policy/ guidelines on this?

Meet EdBrAIn: Our New AI Tool Is Here (Beta!) — Powered by OpenAI
We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and we’re thrilled to finally share what’s next for Share My Lesson.
As a member of our AI & Education community, you’re the first to know:
We’ve partnered with OpenAI to bring you a brand-new tool on Share My Lesson—introducing EdBrAIn (yep, the capital “AI” is on purpose).
Over a year ago, EdBrAIn was launched as our fun little bot for the AI Educator Brain PD series, helping us teach how AI can support real classroom needs.
Now, EdBrAIn has evolved into a hands-on and ready-for-action beta tool that helps you quickly adapt Share My Lesson resources, with AI doing the heavy lifting.
What you can do with EdBrAIn:
- Adjust the grade level of a lesson
- Translate a resource into another language
- Convert a lesson into a worksheet, activity, quiz, discussion guide, and more
Just log into Share My Lesson, head to any resource, and look for the ✨ “EdBrAIn It” button.
Select your settings, click “EdBrAIn It”, and we’ll email your customized version directly to your inbox.

My name is Maria Angala, WTU AFT Local6 member and bilingual special education teacher in Washington DC. I am currently the Lead Teacher at RTEC's Digital Literacy Academy. Are there any other members in this discussion board? I am curious, how are you using AI in their classroom. How is it helping? What's your school's policy/ guidelines on this?
Hi Maria! I've just entered the group and to be honest I am here to learn from the others. I teach English as a Second Language and also in Ischool Curricula, I am involved in learning about new things and I live in Italy. Starting from this school year we have some guidelines for using AI in the Italian schools and we have started some training but most teachers are reluctant about using it. Personally I am exploring new things and learning about the best ways it can help me to differentiate learning and my teaching. To begin with I am using some platforms to create content ( lessons, activities....) and the new features of GEMINI can help me to create content but this year we will have to learn more about the best practices with our students. I will post more once I have started lessons and worked on the guidelines. I am online and follow a lot of educators, sometimes I attend MOOCs and also the European Union is promoting best practices among teachers. The world has changed and as an educator I am here to enhance my teaching.
